Limited Lifetime Warranty
FinalDriveMotors.com backs every excavator final drive motor with an industry-leading Limited Lifetime Warranty. We're confident in the quality and dependability of our motors, and we stand behind them 100%.
Remember: our advertised prices are already wholesale — hundreds, sometimes thousands, less than our competitors.
Tracked skid loaders, special-order motors, and sales outside the continental U.S. carry a 1-year warranty.
How It Works
After your purchase, the motor's remaining warranty life is prorated, and a credit is applied toward your next motor.
Years 1–2: Free replacement. We exchange your motor at no charge and pay shipping both ways. Send your original motor to us first — once received, we'll expedite your replacement. No charges to you during the first two years.
Years 3–4: 20% prorated credit toward a new motor at the current listed price. Example: paid $2,500 three years ago, current price is $2,600. Credit = $2,500 × 20% = $500. You pay $2,600 − $500 = $2,100.
Years 5–6: 15% prorated credit. Example: paid $2,500 five years ago, current price is $2,900. Credit = $2,500 × 15% = $375. You pay $2,900 − $375 = $2,525.
Years 7+: 10% prorated credit. Example: paid $2,500 seven years ago, current price is $3,200. Credit = $2,500 × 10% = $250. You pay $3,200 − $250 = $2,950.
For all prorated credits (years 3+), we don't need your old motor back — keep it for parts or resell it.
The Fine Print
- Routine maintenance is required, following your machine manufacturer's schedule — including hydraulic fluid flushing and case drain filter replacement. Unsure if your machine has a case drain filter? Check your owner's manual or ask your local dealer. The motor must remain intact and unmodified; disassembly or repair by anyone other than us voids the warranty, as does visibly black or neglected fluid. Lack of maintenance, contamination, or a clogged case drain filter are the leading causes of drive motor failure, and we're not responsible for damage caused by neglected maintenance.
- Proof of purchase is required, and the name on the original invoice must match the name on the claim.
- The warranty is transferable — give the new owner a copy of your original invoice when you sell the machine.
- We reserve the right to deny any claim we determine, at our sole discretion, is not due to a manufacturing defect. Example: a housing cracked from field impact is operator error, not a defect, and would not be covered.
- We're not responsible for damage from improper installation, incorrect fluids, or non-OEM modifications.
- We're not responsible for labor costs — removal, installation, and related costs are the customer's responsibility.
- We're not responsible for lost business income, rental fees, professional fees, or other consequential costs.
- We're not responsible for personal injury or death related to your machine, our products, or their installation, performance, or maintenance. By purchasing from us, you agree to hold FinalDriveMotors.com, its employees, suppliers, and owners harmless.
In Summary
We work hard to source quality parts from vetted suppliers. Like anyone, we're not perfect — defects and warranty issues happen occasionally. We'll handle your claim the way we'd want ours handled if the motor were our own.
